Scholarships

Every Sewanee applicant is considered for academic scholarships simply by submitting the Common Application. All applicants, including Spring Transfer, Early Decision I & II, Early Action, Regular Decision, and Fall Transfer admission programs are considered for scholarships. All scholarships are renewable with satisfactory academic progress.

Named Scholarships
  • Vice-Chancellor's Scholarship: Full tuition, fees, room and board annually– 1 awarded annually
  • Benedict Scholarship: Full tuition, fees, room and board annually–3 awarded annually
  • Wilkins Scholarship: $25,000 annually
  • Quintard Award: $22,000 annually
  • VanSandt Award: $20,000 annually
  • Gill Award: $18,000 annually
  • Fairbanks Award: $15,000 annually
  • Otey Award: $12,000 annually
  • Lancaster Award: $10,000 annually
  • Georgia4 Scholarship: $4,000 annually–Awarded to all applicants admitted from Georgia

To be considered for need based aid, families must submit both the FAFSA and the CSS profile. The Fellowship in the Arts is not stackable with full-tuition awards such as the Benedict, Vice Chancellor, or Tuition Exchange awards.

Fellowship in the Arts

Students with exceptional promise in performing or studio arts can apply for a Fellowship in the Arts. These fellowships range in value from $10,000–$25,000 per year, renewable for four years.

RaiseMe Microscholarships

Sewanee has partnered with RaiseMe to provide students a way to become more involved in their college application process. By creating a free RaiseMe account, students can begin earning microscholarship awards for working through Sewanee's application objectives. If admitted, RaiseMe students' microscholarship amounts will be included in their financial aid package.
